Job of ordinary man ?

Really sometimes i think! do our generation has time to actually ponder over things that matter to our country. Country when i say in particular our nation, India.
I sometimes feel that the root cause of all these problem is the MNC culture that had in someway benefited our country but also had derooted us from Indian culture. People really are left with no time to actually sit together, chat and make some logical debates.

I wonder if in today's world Gandhiji would have been here how would he had gathered masses. Probably the answer is media. Today media has so much penetration into our society that it is difficult for everyone to stay aloof of its impact. Convergence of media has gifted us with an attractive force through a new medium of debate and forums. Thanks to the Blogging and the social networking phenomenon which has given us the space and shape to express our thoughts.

For this process I agree with my faculty that 'social networking in and social gathering out'. But will we really be able to think and form an opinion the way it used be in past times?

Students at colleges hardly think about the classes and no one takes interest in reading newspapers, postgraduates at colleges think about either higher education or dream of getting placed in top media houses, professionals at work space think about promotion or probably marriage, recently became mom and dads think about securing their new born child's future, once their children grow up they think about their marriages and the cycle goes on......

Hello! where is our country in this whole circle? Is really consideration about our country a job of intellectuals and politicians? Where is the contribution of the ordinary single man in opinion formation? Think about it because otherwise we have no right to crib over any situation!
